Under 7 Blues - Round 4

Under 7 Blue played their toughest game yet at home v Skye Blue. Kicking up hill into the wind the boys started strong with some great passing and using the wings a lot. Charlie was solid in the midfield trying to feed the ball through to Eli and laying on some big tackle against a tough Skye midfielders' outfit, but even though we had a few chances we couldn't put a goal in. Skye probably had the best chance at goal but a fantastic save by Felix kept a clean sheet in the 1st quarter to keep us in the game.

In second quarter Sky moved their big players up front, and it seemed to be all one-way traffic with Langy laying on the Shots but still couldn't get the breakthrough, although Skye managed to rebound and put on the first goal of the match before half time, and the 1st goal we have had an opposition score against us all year.

The second half saw Skye switch their forward to their back line as we went downhill with the wind and it was all Langy. Kaylan, Landon, Levi, Hamish and Jimmy worked well together string passes together and creating a lot of half chances but still couldn't get one through in the 3rd quarter.

A similar story in the 4th quarter except it took a fantastic goal by Jimmy who chipped one over the keeper's head from an angle to get our first for the game. Our toughest opponent yet and the boys through determination played extremely well
