Under 13 Blues v Aspendale

Although Langy wasn’t at full strength due to an injury to Gareth, they started strongly and never really looked like losing this game.

They moved the ball with precision and speed, catching Aspendale out twice within the first five minutes to go two goals up. The speed and movement carried on through much of the first half, helping Langy create several more chances, but they couldn’t convert. The Langy defence held out well and kept Aspendale’s two big boys up front reasonably quiet. Unfortunately, one slip up did allow them to claw a goal back.

The second half saw an energised team come out and dominate from the kick-off. Will and Jacob partnered well on the right flank to create several chances for Ryan and Marco, which they converted. Once the fourth goal went in, the floodgates opened for Langy as they pushed for more goals. Another defensive error provided Aspendale with a consolation goal, but this didn’t detract from the boys’ overall performance. Go Langy!

Goals: Ryan 6, Marco 2, Will 1.
