I would like to announce that I have taken over as Vice President and Junior Co-ordinator following the resignation of Johnny Horrocks (for personal reasons) last week. I would like to thank Johnny for everything that he has done in the extremely busy period leading up to the start of the junior season.
Last week we had a meeting of all coaches and managers. The meeting was called primarily to finalise team numbers and player placements.
I set the coaches and managers a challenge, to resolve any issues and ensure that we left the meeting with a clear and common understanding of where we go from here. I am extremely pleased to announce that this was achieved.
Coaches worked long and hard and at the end of the meeting we have settled the teams and their player placements in all age groups except one. For that age group we have a clear process that will see a resolution in a few days.
Just about all teams now have training allocations so training can commence immediately.
I will be publishing details of coaches and training details on the club web site over the next week.
The sub junior competition (U6 – U10) started on Saturday so we are off and running! Good luck to all teams and their coaches.
