NPL has no impact on existing Community players at Langwarrin

There are some strange and disturbing rumours going around that relate to our Community teams (Juniors U6-U11, Girls and women’s and Bayside).

We posted this in September but thought that we had better post it again.

We would like to reassure everyone in the U11s and below, our girls teams, women’s team and Bayside teams that there will be NO impact as a result of us gaining NPL promotion. On the contrary, we will probably see an increased focus on coaching education that means that these teams will have an improved experience in 2018.

Boys in the age groups U12-U18 will need to attend trails for their places in those teams.

Our reserve team will become U20s.

We want to retain as many of our existing members as possible so we will work hard to make that possible.

NPL Update - Technical Director Announced

Langwarrin Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Steve Fisher has been appointed as Technical Director for the 2018 NPL season.

Steve is a great find for the club in that he is ex Langwarrin SC and as a result comes with a deep understanding of our culture and values. In addition to tat Steve has the appropriate set of skills and experience that we were looking for in our Technical Director position.

Steve holds a senior and youth AFC C Licence and has completed his AFC B licence course. Steve held the position of FFV coach developer presenting the National Curriculum and is qualified to present MiniRoos through to senior football coaching courses. Steve has coached youth football for the last three years in the NPL, previous to that was a junior (boys and girls) coach at Langwarrin SC.

Steve impressed with his vision for the Club and his philosophies regarding guidance and development of junior players and coaches.

We believe that Steve will do an amazing job and we are very excited about the season ahead.

Steve is well underway in his planning for the junior trials that will commence in the second week of October…more details to follow.

If there is nothing that appeals to you we are happy to customise our packages to your needs.

Finally, even if you don’t have the ability to sponsor the Club, please have a think about who you know that might consider doing so. Feel free to pass on the prospectus to them.
